Internships

Check out my internship experience! I completed two internships as an Engineering intern with Entergy Louisiana and as a Maintenance Intern with Kampgrounds of America (KOA).

Field Engineer, Entergy Louisiana
Baton Rouge, LA  (05/2025-08/2025)

During my internship as a Field Engineer with Entergy, I supported the design and execution of 10+ electrical service and extension projects, each contributing directly to customer delivery and company revenue. My responsibilities included assisting with pole placement design, conductor routing, and constructability considerations to ensure safe and efficient power distribution.

A major component of this role involved field visits, where I evaluated real-world site conditions, sketched potential pole locations, and identified obstacles impacting design feasibility. I also supported reliability improvement projects, which focused on upgrading aging equipment, replacing outdated conductors, and removing unused poles—improving grid performance, roadway visibility, and overall community safety.

Mechanical Engineer Intern, Entergy Louisiana
Baton Rouge, LA  (06/2024-07/2024)

In my first internship with Entergy, I gained broad exposure to the utility industry by rotating through the design engineering, gas, and reliability departments. This experience helped me understand how different teams collaborate to support large-scale energy infrastructure and reinforced the importance of safety, standards, and coordination in utility operations.

Alongside another intern, I co-created a New Hire Guide to support incoming employees with software training and onboarding best practices. This document was adopted into Entergy’s SharePoint onboarding site, where it continues to serve as a resource for new hires—allowing me to contribute a lasting, organization-wide impact beyond my internship term.

Maintenance Intern, Orlando SouthWest Kampgrounds Of America (KOA)
Orlando, FL  (05/2023-07/2023)

As a Maintenance Intern with Campgrounds of America (KOA), I supported daily operations at a glamping-focused campground by helping maintain electrical, water, and facility systems essential to guest comfort and safety. I performed hands-on tasks including basic plumbing, electrical work, roofing repairs, and general maintenance across the park.

In addition to technical work, I gained valuable customer service experience by assisting guests with check-ins, reservations, and on-site support while working in the office. This role strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and work ethic, while providing early exposure to operations, infrastructure maintenance, and service-oriented problem solving.
